Count your change before you tip!

We went for a couple of beers at Playa Bar yesterday. Had 2 each at $25 per should equal $100. Gave the waiter $200 expecting $100 change. When he brought me my change I gave him a $15 tip and took the change. Realized that he only gave me $85 in change.

My bad as I didn't deal with it then and there.

Question is, was it an honest mistake on his part, did he add a $15 tip without telling me or ?

Been going to Playa Bar for over 8 years and have never had a problem but I learned a valuable lesson yesterday: always count your change before you tip anyone because you just never know.

Since you were drinking and since you are apparently a frequent customer, is it possible you forgot that you told him to bring you 85 pesos in change or is it possible that based on past experience with you that he anticipated you?

Personally I never trust my memory when I'm getting a buzz on. :smoking:
