Glad to see so many visitors enjoying the Guitarfest. From our home we've enjoyed being able to listen to some of the music. It's kind of a shame that I've heard a continuing complaint over the years by locals who say they aren't made to feel welcome to the Guitarfest, same as with the Sailfest. Locals need culture, too. But unfortunately the tickets are too costly for most locals and most everything is in English. Nevertheless, it makes the free concert for the closing night all that much more appreciated.

You need to go sometimes. There is a Spanish translator on the stage, over half of the music is in Spanish, and local Zihuatanejo residents pay 1/2 price. (for the beach concerts each night from 8-11 this is 50 pesos!)Nor has there been a free concert in the cancha on Sunday nights for the last couple years. There is a free concert for the kids at the Casa de la Cultura on Wednesday afternoon.:vivamexico:
