A Lot To Zih

We're still enjoying the music from the Guitarfest during the evenings in our corner of town. Such beautiful sounds wafting in from the beach with the soothing sounds of the surf and the refreshing tropical breeze. Heavenly!

Our mayor-on-leave won his party's bid to be the candidate for re-election, so to the pleasure of most of us at least he won't be returning to the ayuntamiento unless he wins the election, which after his dismal performance seems like an impossibility. The current interim mayor Homero Rodriguez is a local whose love for his community is already manifesting itself in various ways. We have several irons in the fire and we're hoping to rebrand Zihuatanejo and set it on a better course in the intermediate future. More on that later...

Loving the cool evenings and mornings! Great for sleeping and early rising. Makes our locally grown coffee taste better, too. B-)

I'm pretty sure this table isn't where it's supposed to be, but someone was certainly enjoying having their feet in the sand where the waves just barely reach.

A class for protest marching? They start young here.
"What do we want? COOKIES! When do we want'em? NOW!"

Hey! I got caught taking a photo by another photographer much prettier than me. ;-)
