A puente (long weekend) in Mexico means lots of families are showing up in Zihuatanejo in anticipation of Día del Niño and Día del Trabajo, the latter for which there will be a parade downtown Tuesday morning beginning probably between 9 and 10 AM (and which means those of us who live on the parade route have to move our cars at dawn). Members of all the local unions will be marching.

This gentleman dedicates himself to repairing fishing nets. He should be able to do his work much better now that he will be able to actually see what he's doing.

Apparently the arriving tourists were still getting settled in this morning so the downtown beach was still mostly empty as the sun peeked over te hill.
