On Zih Watch for Carlotta

The Jet Ski Freeride Tour arrived to Ixtapa and put on a show late yesterday afternoon on Playa El Palmar that entertained hundreds of spectators on the beach. They will be performing again later this afternoon if you would like to see them.

The mezcal "tasting" event yesterday evening on the downtown beach in front of the museum was well attended by hundreds of young people who sure appeared to have a good time. They will be there again tonight in case you want to join in the "fun". I didn't see any bodies on the beach this morning, so that was a good sign.

The beach cleaners were working hard this morning removing garbage from the beach washed down from the hillsides and from the canals. Playa Principal was looking pretty good, and the bay was nice and calm this morning. The calm before the storm?

Lots of folks are anticipating the arrival of Carlotta, some more anxiously than others. While we can certainly use the rain, we prefer not to get it in torrential deluges. The storm has been growing steadily while sitting offshore. It's also made a bit of a turn more northerly in our direction from its previous northeasterly trajectory. Nice little storm off the Yucatán peninsula, too. Funners!
