All kinds of emotions are running through Mexicans at the moment with the national team moving to the octavos de final in the Copa Mundial and the nation on the verge of historic elections, the biggest the nation has ever seen. Oh, and summer vacation is about to begin. Lots of changes in the air, and we certainly hope for a change for the better locally.

One change that has everyone smiling is the greenery from the recent rains and the cooler temperatures that the rains bring. Maybe it's the additional oxygen. Maybe it's the lingering petrichor.

Slowly but surely new classrooms are rising from the rubble where the old Escuela Primaria Vicente Guerrero sat for generations.

With the rains come trash lines in the ocean, and with the trash lines come dorado. Lots of fishermen had them for sale this morning.

El Cerro Viejo looking a lovely fresh green even under a cloudy sky (that seems to be clearing up).

Music to dream by. B-)
