The kind people of Zihuatanejo continue restoring my faith in humanity daily. The hell with all that nasty news coming out of the disUnited States. Genuine smiles. Genuine kindness. Genuine people. These are the people I choose to love among. They are part of the reason I am The Luckiest Gringo in Mexico. People I am proud to call my neighbors. Grateful people. Humble people. Loving people.

This señora was extremely thankful to get glasses for reading and for walking. She just lit up like a neon sign and wanted to shower my wife with hugs. Of course my wife explained that the glasses come from generous readers of my website. And she proceeded to heap blessings upon those generous people.

I couldn't resist taking this shot while I was in Ixtapa because it reminded me so much of the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach. Dèjá vu. Same old 1950's style.
