New Day Old Zih

Hoping someone out there appreciates these old photos I've been trying to restore before posting them here. Challenging stuff but I love rescuing these old images from oblivion.

Had a nice little overnight rainshower that freshened things up just in time for a visit from beloved family, Lupita's eldest sister and her husband from Mérida. The little girl on the right in the first photo below.

left-to-right: Sarita Espino, Lupita, Socorro, Rosa María, and Doro's mom Aurorita Palacios in front of the Bravo family's former home on the downtown beach, Playa del Puerto or Playa Principal in the early 1950's.

This is what the church Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe still looked like when I first saw it way back in the early 70's. Mi querida suegra doña Rosa is the person most responsible for its existence.

Doña Rosa sat on this corner in front of our home for decades. Maybe some of you greeted her?

An interesting perspective of the sunrise on the downtown beach, looking towards where the top photo was taken decades earlier.
