Dramatic Example Of Prescription Drug Rip Offs

This article reports that the state of Utah health insurer will actually pay its claimants $500. toward a trip to Mexico if they get certain of their prescription drugs [ FDA approved ] filled there. In one case, the difference is over $4000. for a 28 day supply; so they think it's a no brainer to give their claimants the financial incentive to buy in Mexico.

I think we all agree that drug companies should get a fair return on their R&D; but this is utter BS.

Maybe US health insurers will start paying residents to have their major surgery done in Mexico too. "Medical tourism: how to finance your next trip to Paradise."
