Huachinangos

We are headed there December 31, 2018 not for a vacation but finally for a permanent move! We love seafood. How much do you normally pay (ball park) for snapper at the fisherman's market? And, from our previous trips I believe that lobster is only available in November/December?

I frankly haven't a clue. i give money to my wife and like magic she comes back with fish. But she never buys huachinango. We prefer to eat huachinango in a restaurant rather than prepare it at home. Silly us.

Frankly, I'm surprised there are any langosta left along our coast because our fishermen don't respect the vedas, and most folks, especially those unfamiliar with our marine ecosystem, have no idea when our vedas are or what a healthy population of the seafood we consume looks like. For the past 20 years or so I haven't seen a decent langosta served in any local restaurant. They look like crawdaddies to me. Puny pitiful little things that probably haven't even reached puberty for their species. Hopefully their local population won't get fished out as has happened in other coastal resort areas.

I don't have the veda dates at hand, but I usually receive a notification that I share here when it starts and ends.

There she is making miracles happen!
