We did it in June

You are mixing up information from our posting and Susan's posting. We did it ourselves with a trailer, they did it with assistance.

Getting our permanent residency was easy. It must be done your home country. I contacted the consulate, their person in charge of this gave me a list of what was needed and asked that when it was all assembled that I send him photos of everything. I did that,he asked for a few changes, then made the appointment for the interview and the delivery of the actual paperwork. It was with Oswaldo who had worked with me on line! Talk about easy. An hour later, we walked out with what we needed. Once we got here we had 30 days to go to Immigration. That took less than an hour, then we returned for our cards. Very easy to do, painless, inexpensive. Pretty much proof of net worth and/or income.
