While much of the country worries about fuel shortages, I thank my lucky stars to no longer have to commute by vehicle or public transportation to work. I simply grab my mug of coffee and walk down the stairs to the ground floor of our home. City and suburb dwellers eat your hearts out.

Lots of whale sightings recently including pods of Orcas. If you haven't already, I highly recommend taking a charter out to experience their majestic awesomeness. See my Guide to Activities, Charters & Tours page.

The mercado de los pescadores is a busy place most mornings as residents and restaurants compete for its limited offerings.

We hardly have any school supplies left to distribute, but this little girl and her mother were extremely grateful for the pencils and the t-shirts. Every little bit helps when life is a daily struggle for survival.

Another peaceful morning in our tranquil little bay with fishermen in pangas chasing around schools of baitfish while seabirds wait nearby for any scraps.
