In For Zih Long Haul

After all the brouhaha and whoop-tee-doo yesterday by políticos and bigwigs posing for cameras, normalcy has returned to Zihuatanejo's pier which looks exactly as it did yesterday except for the big backhoe sitting rather ominously in front of the ZIHUA letters.

We continue enjoying the most PERFECT WEATHER, though this morning felt more like June than February with a bit more humidity and a few cumulus clouds floating about. A little rain would sure be welcome except o the hillside above town where the city decided to put roads in where the squatters' homes burned leaving mounds of loose earth without a shred of vegetation. So much for that ecological zone. The warmth feels good, and last night a bedsheet was once again optional for sleeping for those of us who sleep with the windows open listening to the calming sounds of the surf.

There are still a lot of foreign tourists around. The waterfront was full of them last night. Everyone having a good time, enjoying good food and memorable times. This is what Zihuatanejo's all about!

The fishermen were displaying a lot of huachinango this morning.

So much to appreciate about our tranquil mornings on the waterfront in Zihuatanejo.
