A change in the weather can be felt. Temps are just a little warmer and storms are getting closer to the coast. Most recent mornings we've seen a buildup of clouds, but apart from the one very brief sprinkle earlier this week nothing else. Neighborhoods are running out of water, hills and woods are a sered brown, but the ocean is prettier than ever, clean and blue. The best time of the year for swimming, but be careful of groundswell surges.

Sea turtles are always present, but they should be noticeable laying their eggs on the beaches soon. I certainly hope we don't see a repeat of last year when poachers were stealing eggs in plain sight on the downtown beach thanks to the total absence of vigilance on the part of the local government. I've been trying to give them a little nudge to get the police to patrol the waterfront, but so far no luck. Not giving up.

Smiles like this are why my wife dedicates so much time to helping folks see a little better thanks to your donations of "cheater" glasses for "tired vision."

This was quite beautiful to wake up this morning. We sure are fortunate!
