This November, Soul of Mexico Tours and Canyons Your Way are collaborating to offer you an adventurous experience through the canyons & desert of Chihuahua. Though this region is famously named after the Copper Canyon, we will actually traverse parts of the Sierra Tarahumara that are visited less frequently. If that isn’t enough to inspire you to add Chihuahua to your bucket list, we will be visiting the ancient Mogollon trade-center of Cuarenta Casas and the ruins of the razed ancient city of Paquime.

We begin in Cuauhtemoc, foraging through cheese, salami and cookies made by Mennonites. We will experience a full day traversing the canyons via the legendary El Chepe Regional Train, then enjoy some bird watching, hiking, waterfalls, canyon sunrises and sunsets, a picnic in a cave, rowing across Lake Arareco, visiting Missions, and engaging in cultural activities with local Raramuri, such as cooking, weaving and storytelling, We will end our tour in the Mogollon cultural areas before returning to Chihuahua to explore Nombre de Dios Crystal Caves and Francisco “Pancho” Villa Museum.

Join Arturo Ortiz and Jennifer Bjarnason on an adventure of a lifetime - this is an experience to be forever cherished.
