Zih Temporada de Vacaciones

The sun hadn't yet broken the horizon when the sound of rolling suitcases could be heard clacking down our faux brick streets. Some carrying coolers. Someone in the group fresh off the bus even thought it was a good idea to play their stereo loud at that hour. Jeeeezzzz! Oh well, they won't be here long. Only another month to go.

A friend of mine in Louisville where it's currently 34°C said he was waiting until the "heat wave" passed to mow his lawn. It's hotter in Louisville than it is here in the tropics!

Last evening as we strolled along the waterfront there was the ever so slight sprinkle, just enough to be refreshing without actually making things damp. The zócalo was full of folks enjoying themselves. A Mexican rock back was playing some pretty cool tunes in the gazebo while a basketball game was going on in the Cancha. Lots of families. Lots of smiling faces. Lots of happiness. That's what Zihuatanejo is all about!
