It was meant to be a general comment, about checking the local newspapers to learn more about whatever "nota roja" you are interested in.
I am not following the specific incident about el Sr. Nava López in any local periódico.

Despertar; La Voz; Diario ABC de Zihuatanejo,
I think are the big three.
