"Sharing" Taxis

would 35 pesos versus 25 pesos really be worth worrying about to most people from north of the border for a two or three week vacation especially given higher airfares due to Boeings "issues" ?

People from north of the border don’t come in the numbers they used to, and they don’t travel around the area as much as they used to. The majority of taxi fares are locals, and we simply can’t afford to use them anywhere near what we used to. So the oversaturated market now charges more though it has less demand, which will in turn cause demand to fall. They will continue raising the rates and demand will continue to fall. And the state will continue issuing more taxi permits. It’s an old local story.
