Whether it's trying to have a simple meeting of the minds here on this Message board, or helping strangers and lost dogs, shared bonds are so much more rewarding than loneliness, selfishness and divisiveness. The way we greet familiar faces as well as complete strangers is one of the things that my wife and I enjoy most about our lives in this community. And being able to help others even when we ourselves don't have much fills our hearts with joy. My wife and I know there are many good, kind and decent caring people in this world because we keep meeting them and feeling their love and kindness, and the world needs such people more than ever in these trying times. We are extremely grateful for the kindness we receive as well as for the opportunity to show kindness to others, though in my case I know I'm more just a bumbling fool following my wife's lead. Not only does she set a wonderful example and inspire me and many other people to do good and better, but she picked me to marry out of all the men in the world, so I know I must not be a total nutcase, though my shortcomings are many.

This gentleman and his wife were practically overwhelmed with emotion at the gift of finding the glasses he needed among the donations so many of you have brought to Lupita. ¡Muchísimas gracias! (Look, there's Blanquita)

Don Juan El Frutero with delicious fresh fruit in the midday sun on the downtown beach. We ALWAYS love running into him. Such a hard worker and a very nice person, like so many here and around the world. Salt of the earth.
