Still Pierless in Zih

It would've been a perfect night's sleep except for the drunk who went down the streets at 3:30 in the morning shouting obscenities, pounding on doors, kicking cars, and throwing garbage cans in the street. Not a Guardia Nacional or policía in sight. Damn disappointing. Where's a good bottle rocket when you need one?

The other day a reporter on the Weather Channel was standing on a Florida beach talking about how the storm driven waves were like the Pacific. Uh, no. That's why it's called the Pacific. Most of the year it is an extremely calm ocean like no other in the world. I loved the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico was okay until it got so polluted, but I never liked the Atlantic with its waves too close together. But there's nothing like the tranquility of the Pacific. Even though it's near the peak of the hurricane season, you could water ski in our bay this morning.

Fishermen were out in force looking for both baitfish and their daily sustenance.

Today the grúa was back on the pier unloading another shipment of pilotes. Lots of sand had been dug up to try to free the Flexifloat. Let's see if they have better luck today at least moving it a little further out before loading the grúa back onto it.
