Thank goodness for the simple things in life!

Thank goodness for a community where friends, neighbors and strangers still greet each other warmly in the streets.

Thank goodness things change so slowly here that the next thing you know it's 10 years later but it still looks the same.

Thank goodness today is jueves pozolero and those so inclined can enjoy one of Guerrero's most popular culinary traditions at one of our many excellent pozolerías such as La Jaiba Feliz, El Profe, Any's, Teozintle, Santa Prisca, Antilia's or La Casa Vieja. Many places offer local mezcal with the meal along with a variety of other traditional condiments.

Thank goodness we can wander a couple of blocks down the waterfront and buy fish so fresh it was swimming that morning!

Thank goodness we have weather so perfect we can wear sandals and shorts every day of the year!

Thank goodness my wife and I got to live through the 60's and 70's! Possibly the best period to have been alive in all of human existence.

Thank goodness I dared to give up "the American Dream" and follow my heart to Zihuatanejo where every single day that I share with the most incredible human being I've ever met is the best day of my life!

¡Viva Zihuatanejo!

A typical morning at the mercado de los pescadores.

Marinos returning from a mission. (Maybe I wasn't supposed to take this photo. Uh oh)
