Happy Trails to Zih

We've been surprised to already see some snowbirds arriving. I don't think the local government has gotten the town ready for them yet, but I can say that things are getting done. Details are being attended to that we hope will make everyone's visit more pleasant, and hopefully they will be able to rest and relax and enjoy a worry-free vacation wherever they stay. But please bear with us while potholes get filled, landslides get cleaned up, new coats of paint get applied and folks get a chance to spruce up a bit after the rainy season, which is mostly over after the middle of this month though we could still get a surprise.

The sea turtles are still arriving to deposit their eggs, and the Marinos are patrolling the beaches to move them to a special pen where they can hopefully incubate safely until they hatch and are released.

The mini-pier behind the offices of the Capitanía del Puerto are filling in for charter fishing trips while the municipal pier is being rebuilt.
