Dando Lata en Zih

Okay, after hours of guilt trip for not translating for the Español-challenged, I humbled up.

DAR LATA is a modismo, (an idiomatic expression) that means “to bother, to give a hard time, to harangue” while of course literally it’s the same as “to give can”. I presented you with a can while subtly giving you shit. A little joke. Ha.

And CHINGÓN is also a slang term not unlike the U.S. English use of colorful words like “cool, badass, motherfugger” or any combination of those ideas. So it’s the equivalent for us of saying “Cool motherfuggers even in death”. Yes, a bit shocking for us, but the language isn’t as offensive as the English equivalent, and I don’t feel it necessary to cover my grandson’s eyes.
