Lost Day in Zih

While throughout much of the country there were classes today, we got to watch almost 5 hours of parade in Zihuatanejo with group after group of schoolchildren. This used to be a quaint affair because there were only a handful of schools and only several hundred kids. Now there are dozens upon dozens of schools in the parade with thousands upon thousands of kids. A clear reminder we are too many. By the time the charros passed by everyone's ears were about numb and lots of folks had that thousand yard stare.

But it was still a lot of fun for most folks. At least Lupita and I could enjoy the comforts of being at home.

Lots of colorful costumes and beautiful people!

Here come the charros!
