What a privilege to live in a place that despite greed and corruption and other human deficiencies remains beautiful and inspiring! What a privilege to live in a place where people look out for each other and greet each other warmly in public! What a privilege to live in a place where families remain the center of life, were families take care of their elderly and where family ties are strong even among distant members and different generations! What a privilege to live in a place where the local food is naturally healthy! What a privilege to live in a place where the goal isn't to wait until retirement to enjoy life! What a privilege to live in a place where differences in politics don't affect friendships and where more than two parties exist on a large scale! What a privilege to enjoy a love that fills the heart and soul to the brim! What a privilege to live among millions of indigenous people who have been here for millennia, to hear their languages, to learn their histories and to experience their cultures! What a privilege to be a Zihuatanejense and a Mexican on the Costa Grande of Guerrero! Damn I'm lucky! Maybe even the luckiest Gringo in Mexico!

I'm thinking they may actually get this done before Semana Santa.

Zihuatanejo traffic jam. Whatever happened to port-to-port? And I hate to say it, but if you're just heading out to go fishing AFTER the sun already broke the horizon, well, I hope you enjoy the boat ride, 'cause that's most likely all you'll be doing. ;-)
