Interesting that yesterday the governor of the state of Guanajuato, where crime and violence stats are red-lining, came out in support of US armed intervention. The man obviously doesn´t have much confidence in President Lopez Obrador´s strategy of "hugs, not bullets" in dealing with the country´s wobbly security situation. Curious to know how many other state leaders feel the same way?

It is probable that the Trump administration is much more interested in getting the new trade deal (with Canada & Mexico) signed than in military adventurism south of the Rio Grande, a stupidity that would blow up trade relations.

Hopefully, there is awareness, too, that any US military action could jepardize the physical security of Americans(or anyone who looked like one) resident or vacationing here.
