Imagine a life where every day is the best day of your life, where every meal is the best meal you've ever had, where you fall in love with your compañera/o de la vida at least every day, where you feel like the luckiest person alive. That's been my good fortune for these past 3 decades with the love of my life. Hopefully I'm not alone. Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Presidente López pissed off a lot of us who live in tourist destinations by proposing ending long weekends. This guy really doesn't seem to like or understand the tourist industry even though he wants to build his "Tren Maya" in the Yucatán peninsula. Hopefully some of his close advisors or our elected representatives will set him straight on this.

Some folks said they felt sprinkles this morning! Wish it would rain. We could sure use it. Even with the clouds it's an absolutely lovely day here.

Lupita says she could use some school supplies to distribute to needy children if anyone can donate some. They can be bought locally. No need to take up space in your luggage unless you can get a good deal where you live.

And on behalf of this nice gentleman and many other needy people who have benefitted from your all's generosity, thank you very much for the donations of reading glasses.

Half a dozen of my neighbors were already on the beach taking photos of the resplandor of the sunrise by the time I got there to take this shot a little after 7:00 AM. The colors came and went quickly.

Rob- I don't fully understand the thing about the reading glasses. Are these the "readers" that I've seen at Sams and other stores?
Or are they discarded prescription glasses?
If the former I'd be happy to pick up 10 pair the next time I'm at Sams- I don't think they are very expensive.
Just tell me if you have a preference as to strength.
I wish I know my strength so I could buy a few pair for myself- but if I buy an assortment I'll be able to figure out what I need.

And yes- there were sprinkles downtown when I was there around 8 and even on Playa Madera a few hours ago- maybe one or two!
