Where did a month go

On the 9th of January received a text from United about changing our departure date(1-12) or airport. We were driving to Chicago the next day so we kept our schedule. There was a bad weather front moving into Chicago Friday night. Our limousine came early that Saturday morning for our 8 AM direct flight to "Z". We landed at 12:30 and did not get outside to get a taxi till after 3 because only 1 x-ray machine was working and 4 large planes had landed close together. We were worn out by the time we got to Villa Mercedes. That week went so fast enjoying the sights and sounds and the restaurants near by. Our only problem was finding a ATM that would take our new ATM card. When we left Saturday for the Grand, Kathie left her hat and we went back Wed. to pick it up and hit the ATM that we could use. It was so good to see the wait staff that was still at the Grand- some of the people from the previous years were let go. It was so good to see the Guests that have been coming down at the same time for years. That Friday we went to El Faro's for dinner. As we were being taken to our table, one of the waiters said "Senior Ford Do you want your spicy martini with the hot pepper"- I was not going to have one but had to now. The following Friday, we were seated on the 2nd level and another waiter came over and said he saw my post on Trip Adviser from the previous Friday night. It is great constantly be greeted from the staff of Pacifica even though we stay at the Grand. We love to go over for the day and enjoy the pools and having dinner there in the evening. Other than a stomach virus that hit the Grand our second week we had a wonderful time and hated to see everyone leave to go home. We made Reservations to stay at Ixtapa Pacifica at the SPA unit the 2nd of January for a week for Kathie wanted to spend her birthday there(the 5th) and then go to the Grand for 3 weeks. Our friends picked us up at O'Hare when we got in. Funny thing Kathie's Global Pass did not work for it had expired before we left. Now setting up a appointment to get another one. The drive home was terrible, first with the snow and then the rain in Central Indiana. It's funny how time goes by so fast doing nothing. The days were just a blur since you are doing nothing but spending time in the pool with a drink in you hand and when a refill is needed just hold you glass(plastic) up. Now life goes back to normal till next year. It's hard to believe we have been going down sine 1999 when we bought our first small unit.
