Lupita and I hope everyone enjoys a grand day with their family, friends and loved ones! It's a tough day to celebrate for some of us because it isn't a holiday, but later on you'll see lots of folks out'n'about including lots of beautiful young couples and hopefully there are still a lot of us older couples as well. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with.

Sorry to report that a local gringo resident named Mike (don't know his last name) a thin guy who lived downtown near the waterfront and always wore a wide-brimmed cowboy style hat, was found dead of natural causes in his apartment. For those who knew him, he apparently hadn't had any visitors for a few days and nobody missed him until his landlord found him. He hung out a lot at Daniel's and other waterfront venues where we greeted him often for years, but we never knew him. I thought his friends would want to be told. Bummer.

On a brighter note,... It's a picture postcard perfect day on the Costa Grande of Guerrero, and I think we're pretty fortunate to be right here! I know I am.

Three snowbirds and a fisherman. Friendly looking guys!

The work on the pier reconstruction continues. The pace is no longer as hectic as it once was, but tehy are clearly making progress and close to being finished.

There are three boat landings on the western side (above) and two slightly larger ones on the eastern side (below).
