Sometimes a lot of people will use it not on cyclists

There was already a WALKWAY there, has been for over 40 years. They tore up the walkway simply to repave it along the canal. Cut trees. Blocked an access to La Madera that has been used for literally hundreds of years. The smart solution would've simply been to route cyclists coming from the Parque Lineal over to Calle Adelita from Plaza Kioto. Calle Adelita barely has any traffic and the few cyclists that would be using it wouldn't bother anyone. At the museum there is already a pedestrian bridge with a ramp to cross over the canal. But that solution would remove millions of pesos from the budget for the ciclopista, and that's where the problem is with politicians who are allowed to award their own companies public contracts to enrich themselves with taxpayers' money. A practice that only seems to get worse every year here.
