Corona Virus cases - facts only please

It is unproven that the virus does not survive in heat. It thrives in moist areas (mouth, nose, eyes).

the problem with the virus is that symptoms don't present for 2-12 days. So, you can be a "transmitter" without being symptomatic.

Taking temperatures will keep positive cases from boarding planes or entering countries, but it's the people who are asymptomatic that we must worry about. They get to board the planes and enter the countries....and then later develop symptoms and have to back track to determine who they were in contact with so that those people can get tested.

This is why Italy did a total lockdown. This is why we are now getting shelter in place orders in the US - city by city. San Francisco was the first and we believe NYC will be next.

Please be safe everyone. We are living in unchartered territory. I pray that Mexico is smart and takes every precaution - closing it's borders, sheltering in place, social distancing, etc.... before it becomes Italy. #flattenthecurve
