Instead of restricting seniors from entering the store, if they really wanted to help, ask the customers if they are with an immune issue or are they diabetic or other health issue, which really is non of their damn business. By looking at a lot of the seniors here in Zihua, a lot of them look healthier than a lot of these unfit young people. If they want to restrict seniors ,split the day in half, let the seniors have the early half of the day

In Zihuatanejo as in most of Mexico, seniors generally live at home with their family. This is one of many cultural differences between the Anglo-Saxon culture and the Latino culture. Dr. Hugo López-Gatell and his team factored this into their modeling for the spread of the pandemia in Mexico. In Mexican households younger members are being asked to do the shopping and to run the errands that must be done.

After a major outbreak at a popular supermarket in Iguala this week, it only makes sense to us here that Soriana would take this step even though there are many retired foreigners here. For most Mexican families this is not a problem. Foreigners here can call a service that will do their grocery shopping for them, except they try NOT to shop at the big stores but instead at the smaller locally-owned ones.
