What if?

To your first two maladies there many places one can vacation without mosquitoes; and HIV? That is definitely not contracted by airborne or surface transmission.

THE POINT BEING when AIDS/HIV was still the latest big killer mystery disease, folks adapted and practiced safe sex. We all moved on. We didn't hide indoors (or in bunkers behind barbed wire fences like the Coward-in-Chief) or become monks and nuns. We put on our big boy and big girl pants and got on with LIVING.

No mosquitos? Where? No place tropical or very pretty. Las Vegas? Ha! The city that shouldn't exist. A monument to an unsustainable lifestyle based on vices.

We lived in SF from '74 to '94. I don't believe I need your advice on HIV or how some people were able to put it behind them. The terror in the city was palpable. Maybe you just put on your big boy condom and moved on. Many people didn't. Speaking of SF - houses there don't have screens - no mosquitoes. The larvae can't survive the 50 degree temps at night. Can we agree that SF is a beautiful city?
