Slippery steps and things

Don't see this kind of thing discussed here, but we had a very successful home improvement project today!!!

It's rainy season and the world is often wet. We have several places that are almost like painted steps that we use to access other parts of our world. We learned early on to not step on the painted surfaces when they were wet. One dog did too, but the other, not. She often steps on them, falls, slides, no injuries yet, but we want to avoid that. These three spots are concrete.

Basic internet search, Bob Villa said, " 4 parts paint, one part sand," then went on to say, pour some paint into a container, add a handful of sand, and paint.

Did it this morning, used the paint that was supposed to match. It took only a few minutes to do the three areas. Tonight??? OMG It looks just like it did before, but if you step on it with bare feet (or dog feet) it is heavily textured.

SUCCESS!! And a very safe thing that most of us here can use!!
