Humanity at its finest

As travelers of Mexico for over 30 years we have loved and immersed ourselves in Mexican culture. Not the beach resorts but incredible journeys from Cuernevaca to Taxco to Oaxaca. The colors of Mexico and the warmth of the people have touched our soul. Zihua has been our go to place for the last 4 years.

What never ceases to amaze me is the "Me ME" current flavor of this Covid year." How is this affecting my travel plans and my lifestyle. Will I have to wear a mask. Why aren't the beaches open. What restaurants are open. My flights are not available and why are the prices so high. " Perhaps it's not the Covid but what Covid has shown about how really shallow we have become. It truly saddens me.

I do understand that everyone has different coping mechanisms in handling a crisis. This one has international attention because it's affected all of us. Politicians around the world have shown how really ineffective they truly are. The real efforts and positive results have come from local feet on the ground medical professionals and local politicians that have a spine to do the right thing.

And then there are those that think they are special. No need to consider social protocols , no thought about how their actions might affect others.

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts.

Very nicely said. Thank you for sharing some of your observations and common sense.

Un saludo.
