Those are "deaths" per 100,000 so I really do think they are relevant. As far as the States go some are doing well and some not so well so maybe it doesn't come down to just the President (yes I do think Trump is a lunatic). I sure hope you are right about Mexico. I meant that there are different circumstances including health issues and lack of medical care that can skew those numbers without really telling an accurate story. Once more testing confirms more cases the data skews differently. That's all. Not totally useless, but not entirely accurate either. I prefer keeping my eye on the tasa de transferencia and seeing what happens in a community that keeps the tasa below 1.0 for several weeks. It's like watching magic, except that it is what the epidemiólogos in the Secretaría de Salud are working hard to make happen. If the public cooperates, then it comes down, and if stays below 1.0 for a sufficient period of time then the contagion can be said to be under control.
