I don't think I entirely agree. I think people like Paul, maybe 5% of the electorate, are probably good people who have lost their way in the Fox News fetid swamp. They are so embedded in the conservative media bubble and so invested in the conservative home team that it becomes unthinkable to vote for the other side, the liberal "enemy", no matter how hideous their Glorious Leader may be. So they always have to prove that they're good team players. It's in their DNA. It's how the Republican Party has branded their cult over the last forty years.
