As of today Zihuatanejo has a cumulative total of 1,061 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 76 that unfortunately resulted in fatalities, 14 that are currently active, and 901 that have since recovered. The downward trend continues, and it's easy to see why when you are here and see so many locals wearing their facemasks to do everything. It is truly humbling.

The lights just came back on after a couple of hours of a widespread blackout, so that's why this is so late getting posted today.

I was supposed to be in Acapulco tomorrow morning but had to cancel because of this incredible storm along the entire Costa Grande where it's been raining fairly hard most everywhere for hours, though it's only lightly raining at the moment. There have been some heavy winds and hard rains in our bay, so I imagine it's been much worse along the coast facing the open ocean. It's not even September yet, and things are already getting serious.

Tour guides everywhere are all hoping our visitors will return soon and take advantage of their excellent services. Your deposits now for future adventures will go a long way to help these hard working folks to get through these difficult times.
