¡ZIH! ¡Se Puede!

As of today Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,181 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 84 that resulted in fatalities, 1,004 that have recovered, and 24 that are currently active. While the rate of contagion is again falling, I'm expecting we'll see a spike soon as a result of the festivities for Día de la Independencia and the opening of the bars, the latter of which have been getting progressively noisier as have their clients. In spite of this, I continue to believe that our visitors can enjoy a safe vacation here as long as they respect the health safety protocols. It simply isn't that hard to do. Mexico's president continues flying coach class around the country when he travels as well as when he went to the States.

Our weather couldn't be more perfect. Today we had a nice strong breeze out of the southeast for most of the day, and now some afternoon rain clouds are giving us nice easy doses of light rain, cooling things off for a very pleasant evening. Man, do I love it here!

Fresh fruit and a warm tamal for breakfast, fresh dorado for lunch, and I have a nice cold cerveza and an incredible saint of a wife awaiting me when I close up shop for the day. I must be the luckiest gringo in Mexico!

Our beautiful downtown beach on a perfect day in the tropics.
