The cost of the flu vaccine isn't covered by Canada's medical plan? All of my vaccines are free with our insurance in the sates.

With respect to the Hi-Test flu vaccine, it may vary across Canada, but the basic, common or garden variety flu vaccine is free everywhere. My supplemental insurance as a retiree, through my last employer, would probably have paid 80% of the cost of the boosted stuff. We're fine with what we got.

Ignore ZihuaRx's shot about Canadians paying 50% in income taxes. I suspect he's an Albertan: their noses are always out of joint. In the unlikely event he pays anywhere near 50%, he's earning a tremendous amount, or he needs a better tax accountant, for, like almost everywhere else in the world, the wealthy don't pay anywhere near their fair share.
Or, as the lovely Leona Helmsley so accurately put it: "Only the little people pay taxes." :stirpot:
