The Forbes article was written on Sept. 3. The author seemingly thinks ventilators are the holy grail in treating Covid patients. It has been know since early April that ventilator use in treating Covid patients is a mixed blessing. I believe ventilator treatment is now a last resort in treating patients. I do agree that Mexico's death rate is too high (that's why I am siting home in Boulder right now instead of in Ixtapa), but it is not due to lack of ventilators or ventilator treatment.
