As of today Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,488 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (3 more than yesterday), 110 that have resulted in fatalities, 10 that are currently active, and 1,270 that have recovered. Our curve seems to be staying pretty flat if not actually decreasing.

Got some new Beach Rules set by the state government. I don't like most of them, but here they are:
1. Beach access from 7AM to 7PM.
2. Facemasks are obligatory.
3. You must pass through a "sanitary filter" to enter the beach.
Individual activities such as walking, running and swimming.
A maximum of three people may gather together practicing safe social distancing.
Food and drink services.
Consumption of alcohol and tobacco products.
Access of pets, horses, and all types of motor vehicles.
Beach furniture such as umbrellas, tables and chairs.

I'm going to guess some places will enforce these rules differently than others. Personally the only one I like is the banning of motorized vehicles. All the rest suck. Unfortunately it seems all of Guerrero is paying the price for problems they have in Acapulco.

We've had some large waves from the mar de fondo effect for the past 3 days. Haven't seen a cloud all week.
