Re #7: Bars in enclosed areas. Who decides if a bar is in an open or closed area? Most bars in Zihua are open to the outside to some degree or other. What about places like Coconuts, Eloina's, Legendz, Playa Bar?

Just try using common sense and you'll be in the ballpark. This is not rocket science. Most local downtown residents are fine with the bar regulations. Same with the curfew (aka restricted traffic).

I'm asking about regulations, not what is, or is not common sense. If many, or most of the places we regularly frequent are closed, we would have to weigh that information in our decision to visit or not. Common sense, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Many would say that common sense would suggest waiting until the 21/22 season.

I don't need a bar to enjoy myself anywhere. We apparently are very different in that respect, amigo. All the places you named have outdoor seating and are considered open-air by me. No idea what the "responsible authorities" will consider closed or open-air, but I'm sure the bar owners can figure it out.

Wait if you want and hope something else doesn't come along to hinder your plans. Or take the advice of Janis...
