Testing will make travel safer

Testing will help but it’s not full proof . We have had an outbreak in a long term facility just north of Toronto wherein all but 2 of the 134 residents and 84 staff have come down with the new British variation of Covid . There have been 32 deaths so far . Seems they have traced it back to a staff member who came in contact with a traveler who was asymptomatic .( the vaccines do seem to work against this new variation but you have to be able to get it)

Wouldn’t be surprised if in the next couple of days Trudeau announces that ALL travelers returning to Canada must go to specific quarantine sights , not their homes . Not sure what that will do if you truly are asymptomatic .

Australia has done that while at the same time barring all Australians from traveling outside the country . There are exceptions for KIwi’s and airline crew and a few other examples etc
