Dehumidifiers

I'm interested in getting some feedback on dehumidifiers.
First of all has anyone seen a place to buy one locally?
I'd like to check that before I try Amaxon.com.mx or other online.
Second- how about efficacy?
I've had a few items of clothing, pillow cases mold up during the high humidity/rainy reason. I used the dehumidifier "balls" last year and they seemed to help.

We have used Damp Rid hanging humidity absorption bags for years. Replace them every 2-4 weeks. Available at Mega. They may be cheaper than the electricity for a humidifier running 24/7.
