I'm interested in getting some feedback on dehumidifiers.
First of all has anyone seen a place to buy one locally?
I'd like to check that before I try Amaxon.com.mx or other online.
Second- how about efficacy?
I've had a few items of clothing, pillow cases mold up during the high humidity/rainy reason. I used the dehumidifier "balls" last year and they seemed to help.
Looking to take the next step.

Mis dos centavitos. :2c:

Never had one or used one here and neither have generations of zihuatanejenses. You're making things too difficult and going against the flow.

That said, any decent A/C should have a dehumidify setting. Have you tried running that once a week or so?

Last year was really the first time I had to deal with the situation and I was not here during the period in question.
The sanitary engineer (Also known as housekeeper) comes weekly and I think runs the AC for an hour while she is here.
I don’t think that’s enough to take care of the situation.

Running the A/C isn't the same as using its dehumidify setting.

If you have a maid come once a week even when you aren't there (?) then one of her tasks could simply be to hang linens and clothing in the sun for an hour or so. That's what locals have always done to deal with the problem you're having.
