As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,062 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (7 more than yesterday), 163 that have resulted in fatalities, 54 that are currently active, and approximately 1,712 that have recovered. The downward trend continues pretty much across the nation. Chiapas has returned to Semáforo Verde with 2.3 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants (lowest in the nation) while Guerrero remains in Semáforo Rojo with 17.9 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants (9th lowest in the nation).

Presidente López Obrador has asked everyone to try to use less electricity this evening in order to help balance the grid and help our northern states who are still having a bit of a rough time since Texas cut off their supply of gas. Almost everyone who had lost power in northern Mexico is back on line, so every little bit helps.

Looks like someone was burning garbage at La Ropa. Pretty in a photo, but not good.
