Another day of waking at dawn under bruised cloudy skies beside the love of my life in a tropical paradise. While the forecast called for "lluvias puntuales excepcionales", most of the day was quite lovely, with only a light drizzle beginning around midday, the kind of light rain that didn't wet you but cooled you as you walked along and made the already fragrant air even sweeter.

But since a tropical storm named Dolores is right off our coast, we have to expect some winds as it passes by. So far only a few gusts but mostly perfect light breezes. Such is paradise.

It appears the weather has kept our usual stampede of weekend tourists away. Nevertheless, the bars continue blaring their music anyway even with only a couple of clients nursing agua mineral or beer for hours. Some completely empty. Still waiting for the government to establish order like it promised. Gonna be a long wait.

Another cloudy morning in a tropical paradise.
