The dance of the storms is underway when we start getting one after another and sometimes on top of each other. Time to be ready for rain, wind and waves. As Tormenta Tropical Nora blows by our coast we should expect winds to possibly pick up and be gusty by Thursday afternoon accompanied by thunderstorms. The waves will follow. Be ready for power brownouts and outages and possible flooding as well as landslides. There ain't no reason with the hurricane season. It just does what it does.

"Only" 179 active cases of Covid-19 are currently being reported in Zihuatanejo. Hopefully this is indeed a downward trend and not just a lack of testing. La Unión reports 14 active cases and Petatlán 26.

Only saw about 4 turtle nests in Playas Principal and La Madera this morning. And I'm seeing many tracks where turtles run into obstacles and can't find dry sand above the wave line.

Very few tourists around in Zihuatanejo. I imagine numbers are also down in Ixtapa and elsewhere. Except for the clouds, today was a lovely day. I think our weather is perfect. Great for walking beaches or relaxing around the home with windows open and a fan on.

Keep an eye on the weather!
