If you read the report on Mexiconewsdaily it says that border is open to vaccinated and a covid test won't be needed but not for flying. "In contrast to air travel, no testing will be required to enter the U.S. by land or sea, provided travelers meet the vaccination requirement." Not sure why but seems kind of crazy that the airlines just asked my wife in Queretaro for her vaccine card (when it's not required) and she and our daughter just finished getting their covid test, not an hour ago. And how many fake/illegal cards can be made to show the border agents??? Let's hope it changes that flyers can have the card and no test as well. Semper!!

I fear you misunderstand. We don't get "cards". Vaccinated Mexicans get an electronic certificate in the form of a file they can save in their smart phone. It is easily verifiable by the authorities, so a fake would be easily detectable. This is why many local hotel operators are pushing for proof of vaccination by their guests for the upcoming season.
